The Instructional Team serves under the direction of the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning. The team is responsible for coordinating, organizing, developing, and maintaining the district’s curriculum maps, common assessments, instructional and intervention materials. The Instructional Coordinator will also collaborate with administration, instructional coaches and teachers to ensure implementation of Tier 1 instruction, as well as with instructional tutors to ensure implementation of researched based interventions.  

The instructional coaches provide intensive instructional support through coaching cycles, professional development, planning, co-teaching and modeling best practices across all content areas. 

Library Programs ensure clean, organized and well maintained school libraries with culturally relevant books for students to read and enjoy. 

Other responsibilities include:

• Organizing and facilitating monthly professional development workshops.

• Participation in Professional Learning Communities. 

• Involvement in both the distance level and building level Multi Tiered Systems of Support Teams. 

• Providing extended learning opportunities such as after school tutorials and summer school.

• Seeking out and providing enrichment opportunities such as Spelling Bee, Math Bowls, and Science Fairs. 

• Guide, facilitate, participate in new curriculum adoption and assist in implementation. 

• Assist in analyzing assessments to plan data driven instruction.
